Maseratialso steps up to this elite group with the introduction of the new Quattroporte. Priced just below $100,000, the Quattroporte features a shape and styling cues, as well as the famous trident badge, that identifiy it as a Maserati. Rosewood, briarwood and mahogany are standard interior treatments; however, buyers can personalize the cabin, even specifying a titanium finish if they wish. The new Maserati sedan boasts a compact 4.2-liter V8 engine producing 400 horsepower. It gives this luxury sedan the performance expected of a Maserati: 0-62 mph comes up in just 5.3 seconds.

The 2007 Maserati Quattrporte features a 6-speed automatic ZF transmission to provide more of a traditional luxury driving experience. The Quattroporte DuoSelect sequential manual transmission will still be offered to give owners a choice between a traditional automatic transmission for more luxurious driving or the DuoSelect for more sporty driving. The Quattroporte continues to be offered in three versions: sedan, Sport GT and Executive GT. The Sport GT adds a black chrome treatment to the grille and side air intakes, carbon fiber trimmed steering wheel and hand-brake grip, and aluminum pedals. The exhaust has been tuned to provide a deeper sound and a Sport button provides much quicker gear changes. The Executive GT features a chrome grille and air intakes, and is lavishly equipped with heating, ventilation and massage for rear passengers, retractable wood rear tables matched to the rest of the interior, alcantara roof lining, a leather-trimmed steering wheel with wood inserts and a climate control panel for the rear seat passengers.
